Active Learner Driving is a free, independent resource for anyone learning to drive in the UK. Every guide on this site is written by a qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), drawing on real, current teaching experience rather than advice recycled from elsewhere.
Why This Site Exists
Most driving advice online is outdated, vague, or written to sell something. This site exists to do the opposite: clear, accurate, genuinely useful guidance, built around what actually helps a learner driver, from a first lesson through to test day and beyond.
Who Writes It
Everything here is written and checked by a fully qualified DVSA ADI, someone who has personally sat all three parts of the ADI qualifying process, including the practical driving ability test. That firsthand experience is what shapes the guidance on this site, not secondhand research.
